Shhh… the wine is sleeping

Primary fermentation has ended. The 2024 Norton is resting in barrels and for the first time in a long time there is surprisingly little to do. Or, there is much to do, but our cold and wet weather conditions have stifled all attempts. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Having your schedule controlled by nature is a fundamental aspect of working outdoors. We rest when we can and work when we must. For now there is time to reflect, walk in the snow, and envision what pruning we must do in the coming months.
